History

Desneige Memory Castings was born in late 2006 when Desneige relocated to British Columbia from traveling Europe.

Experience with her previous business, State of Mind Mixed Media, proved to Desneige that average people really preferred artwork that was about them, and that they could be a part of.

In her strides to create a business that clients could depend on for meaningful artwork that would become heirlooms in the family, but were still accessible for most families' incomes, Desneige Memory Castings (DMC) was born.

Initially focusing on the new family, DMC started out offering castings for babies, children and pregnant mothers. Within the 2nd quarter of business DMC had outgrown their studio space and underwent a giant renovation into the current 1200 sq. foot Abbotsford Studio. Within the first year of business DMC cast over 150 individual children.

In time for Christmas 2007 DMC introduced the Family Sculptures options to her families, and also expanded the Body Castings arena of the business.

In early 2008, an alliance with All Care Pet Services was formed, allowing veterinary clinics in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley to offer Pet Castings to families mourning the loss of a beloved pet.

Throughout this quick growth and expansion, DMC has always had a #1 commitment to quality in products, devotion to top customer service and a company culture within the local community and all DMC artists that fosters a happy lifestyle for all.

Desneige Memory Castings was nominated for the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for 2007.
Desneige Meyer received the Gloria Foisey Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007 from Community Futures Development Canada.
