Lifecasting 101

Life Casting is the process of making a mold of a living subject, either the whole body or just parts, and creating an identical sculpture (casting) from the mold. Our finished sculptures are exactly the same size, shape and detail of the person cast.

Life Casting is a 3 step process:

1) Making the mold. In our studio this step takes about 30 seconds.

2) Filling the mold with a castable material. We use stone, concrete, resin or glass depending on the finished product.

3) Removing the cured casting from the mold and detailing it to a high-quality finished product.
