Desneige (from the French phrase "of the snow", but more specifically
the only girl-child of her two French Canadian prairie parents)
is a unique and interesting mainly-nocturnal creature.
Born and raised as an only child in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Desneige comes from a long line of women who create things.
Currently Desneige lives with her husband, Terry, in Abbotsford, BC. Outside of running Desneige Memory Castings, Desneige enjoys spending time with friends and family, is a compulsive traveler and lover of her highly-neglected garden. Terry and Desneige are welcoming their first child in October 2008.
Qualifications
Formal Art training at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta. Majored in Blown Glass, minored in Sculpture.Unique Experience
Desneige travelled Europe after art college in search of work and training in the Blown Glass industry. She spent nearly 1 year abroad learning glass techniques in Italy, Norway, Czech Republic and many stops in between.Artistic Approach
